Guest Designer for Tag, You're It! -- I Am Thankful For You :)

Hi everyone!! :)

I am super excited to be a Guest Designer for "Tag, You're It!" this week!!! :)

The theme for this week is Selective Coloring!!!! :)

I made some more tags for Brookie's teachers for "Teacher Appreciation" week that is coming up in the first week of May :)

These will have "Chick-Fil-A" gift cards attached to them for each of her teachers :)

If you are familiar with "Chick-Fil-A" -- you will know why I used the cows -- if you aren't, it is because "Chick-Fil-A" is known for using 'cows' in their ads, usually telling people to "Eat More Chicken" -- but since it is cows spelling it out, it is usually spelled wrong! LOL! I have always loved their ads! :)

I used stamps from Paper Smooches, Lawn Fawn and Neat & Tangled :) I also used paper from Simple Stories :)

Here is the inspiration this week! :)

And just to explain the cows a little more -- here is one of "Chick-Fil-A's" ads :)

Volleyball blanket :)

Hi everyone :)

About a month ago, Brookie was in the fabric section with me while I was looking for something in particular for a project. Brookie found some Volleyball fleece and asked if I would buy some and make her a blanket with it.  Ummmmm... duh! Of course the answer was yes! :)

Here is the blanket I made for her :)

I used a really soft chenille fabric for the back :)

PS ... she LOVES it :)

It's a Mickey Mouse Easter :)

Hi everyone! :)

I wanted to share a little Easter basket I made for my BFF -- completely upcycled from an old Mickey Mouse stuffed animal :)

So long story short --
1) My BFF is a HUGE Mickey Mouse fan.
2) When she was here in January for my Mom's service, she told me an idea she had that she saw on Pinterest to make a Mickey Mouse Christmas Tree.
3) She needed the right size stuffed Mickey Mouse to accomplish the Christmas tree goal.

So we were at an antique store while she was here in January -- and her and her daughter were in one part of the store, and I was in another part of the store, and I saw what I thought would work for her Mickey Mouse Christmas tree idea.

I took a picture of the Mickey Mouse to text to her (and yes, I left my water bottle by the Mickey Mouse, so she could see the size) -- and she said it was perfect.  I grabbed it to give to her to purchase it when we left the store.

As long as YOU PROMISE not to call the Mickey Mouse police on me, I will tell you the rest of the story -- lol! --- she ONLY needed Mickey's HEAD and FEET for this Christmas tree project ----

Yes, you can guess it!!! I decapitated Mickey Mouse and also cut off his feet before she left town after my mom's service.  You read that right -- I cut off Mickey Mouse's head and feet -- lol -- and after cutting those pieces off, I sewed the head and feet closed, so she could do what she needs to do to make the Mickey Mouse Christmas tree when she got home.

And yes, it was a running joke the rest of the time she was here, that I was going to YOU KNOW WHERE for decapitating Mickey Mouse and cutting off his feet! LOL! And it was even a bigger joke, that she had to take Mickey Mouse's head and feet ONLY back on the airplane and go through TSA .... ummmm try explaining that away! HA! :)

Anyhoo -- so I was left with Mickey Mouse's body, including his white gloved hands, and red shorts.

And I couldn't bring myself to throw it away, figuring I would make something with the iconic hands and shorts for her.

And then it came to me -- make her an Easter basket out of the remaining pieces! :)

I took the shorts and re-sewed his tail to the back of it.

Then I took the arms and sewed them together.

Then I sewed the hands to the side of the shorts.

And now she has a custom Mickey Mouse Easter basket! :)

I found some Mickey Mouse goodies at the store, and added those to her basket.

Here are the goodies I added to the basket :)

And here is the Easter basket I made for her :)

Love from the Netherlands :)

Hi everyone! :)

I wanted to share a layout I made for the latest challenge at Scrap Our Stash :)

Their rules for this challenge were this --

(from their site--)

Choose one of the care bears and create a layout based on the sketch. You must include the COLOR of the bear you use AND also an EMBELLISHMENT(S) or use PATTERNED PAPER that has the SYMBOL on the belly badge of the bear you choose...

I chose Tenderheart Bear -- which is the brown one with the heart on his stomach.  So I used browns/reds on my page, and included heart paper and a few other hearts throughout my page. :)

I used some older Moxie and Bo Bunny papers on my page :)

You Can't Buy Happiness. But You Can Buy Coffee, and That's Pretty Close.

Hi everyone :)

Teacher appreciation week is coming up in early May in the US, and I wanted to share some gifts I made for Brookie's teachers :)

My work had breakfast catered from Einstein's Bagels a while ago, and they had some unused coffee cups left over from it.  And of course I snagged them to use for my project  *wink* :)

I covered the logo on the front of the cup with some Bo Bunny papers - and then I made some tags to hang from the coffee stirrers.

Inside the coffee cups will be a Einstein's Bagels gift card for each of her teachers. :) So you are probably wondering why I covered the Einstein's Bagels logo on the front of the cups, if I am gifting them a gift card from there.  Well, the logo had check mark areas for different drinks, and to me it looked kinda funny with my vision for these gifts. So, covered they became! LOL! :)

I used Ellen Hutson stamps for my tags :)

I am entering these in the latest challenge for Tag, You're It! which is a coffee related challenge :)
