Hi everyone! It's me Brookie :)

Hi everyone! It's me, Brookie! :)

This year my school is once again participating along with the American Heart Association with the Kids Heart Challenge :)

At my school, I'm learning how I can help make a difference by raising lifesaving donations to help kids with heart disease.  I'm also learning about my own heart, and how to keep it healthy.

I'm excited about raising money for other kids - kids with hearts that don't exactly work right and to help fund new medicines and treatments to be discovered.
Please help me make a difference!  Thank you!

Many of you may know that I used to be on the swim team.  I was on that team for 3 years, and a year and a half ago, I joined a Volleyball competitive team.  I also played on my school's Volleyball team and this year I have joined a Club team for Volleyball.  I am learning everyday the benefits of exercise and eating healthy. Over a year ago I also gave up soda. It started as a bet with my Papa Mike, who bet me I couldn't give it up for a year.  I won that bet of course (I am a little competitive! LOL!) :)  And since the bet is over, I still haven't had any soda.  I choose water and milk instead. :)

Please help me reach my goal (or go above it!) this year! :)

I am doing this in honor of my friend Garrison, who has known me since I was born.  He had heart surgery a couple of years ago, and now he is recently engaged and I cannot wait for him and Stefanie to get married! :)

Thank you everyone! :)

  1. I think this is fabulous! Always happy to help out!

  2. The best thing you can do for your future is take care of your body now. You can't see the insides, but that soda was not doing it any good. Good for you!!! Wonderful to support something so important, Brooke. Great post!

  3. Well done Brooke, I see you are helping a wonderful cause and also helping yourself be healthy too.. I wish you all the best..

  4. WTG giving up soda and eating healthy!!! My you are growing up so fast!!
You have chosen a great cause :)

  5. Good luck with your fundraising efforts!

  6. You are one awesome young lady Brokie! Heart disease is such a big deal with kids, my own daughter Brooklyn was born with heart disease. She is all grown up now and healthy but it was awareness that saved her life. Keep up all the good things you are doingz, 💕
