Never Forget ...

Hi everyone ...

It is hard to believe that 15 years ago today, the world forever changed ....

Yesterday the family and I went to Prescott Valley to visit The Healing Fields - which is an organization that puts up a 6 foot flag for every victim from 9/11 -- such a moving and humbling place to visit ...

The local fire department was there waving this flag from their ladder ...

These flags were in honor of the 19 firefighters who lost their lives in the "Yarnell Hill Fire" in 2013

For every child that lost their life on 9/11, there was a teddy bear on their flag ...

This card belongs to one of David's adopted Dad's

At the firefighters flags, they had these boots at the base ...

Brookie laying a flower at the base of a flag ...

This is my BFF's sister-in-law's first husband, who was killed in the towers ...

Brookie laid a flower at the base of his flag also ...

Never forget ...

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

  1. I remember that day.. It was just unreal and absolutely horrific.. And I agree.. The world did change.. Such senseless loss.. I feel sad to see the teddy bears in your photos.. Innocent lives taken. I can only pray that does not happen again...

  7. Wow! That would be such a somber and moving place to be. Too many flags there. So many lives lost. Does not feel like it can possibly be 15 years ago.
