What's been going on?

Hi all! :)

I am going to say that I believe April (followed by May) are going down in HISTORY as our busiest months EVER!!! :)

I usually can do a few crafty things here and there on the weekend -- but lately -- NOPE!! Ain't nobody got time for that! LOL! :)

So I will be around to visit YOU in the coming weeks/month, but I won't have a lot to share creatively, as it has been a whirlwind for us lately! :)

I did want to share some photos of Adam's NJROTC awards ceremony from Friday night though! :)

He has been in the NJROTC for the three years he has attended the high school he is currently at (his first year of high school, we lived in another area, so he went somewhere else then and didn't do NJROTC then) :)

The man on the left was there to help present awards to the cadets (the man on the right is Adam's Chief) -- and he turned 88 (!) that day so we all sang Happy Birthday to him! :)  He served in World War 2, Korean War and Vietnam!! What a legend! :)

Adam and Brookie! :)

Adam on stage with other students getting recognized for the ribbons they earned! :)

And the MOST emotional part for me that night -- NJROTC does a sword ceremony (like they perform in the real Navy) for the Seniors that are leaving the school ... here is Adam!! :)

After the sword ceremony, the Seniors then presented the Chief and Commander presents :)

The Class of 2015 NJROTC!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

What a wonderful role model to look up to with the elderly gentleman! I hear you on the busy-ness and not getting much creativity done, but we will get there when we have time. It will always be there :)

  23. Oh How wonderful. Congratulations Adam. My Father in law was in ROTC in college and he stayed in the Army for over 20 years. He served in WWII, and the Korean War. He passed away two years ago at 95. He was an amazing man.
