This is between me & you -- featuring Pink Paislee :)

Hi everyone :)

Our latest challenge is live on Frosted Designs and this time we want to see some mixed media this time :)

I started off with a sheet from the Pink Paislee Switchboard collection

Did a grid design with some washi tape --

Sprayed it with some mists --

Took the washi tape off once dry --

And here is my layout :)

I also wanted to share a couple of photos :)

These past couple of weekends have been busy :)

On October 18th, we headed to a local park for Brookie's surgeon's annual "Laser Kids Picnic"  -- for those that don't know, Brookie was born with Port Wine Stains on about 35% of her body -- and she has had 17 laser surgeries to help remove them ... Her surgeon, Dr. Hansen, has had an annual picnic at a local park for his "Laser Kids" for the past several years ... This year we found out that he is retiring in January -- so sad!!! We love this man, and cannot be more grateful for him helping Brookie :)

Here is Brookie with Dr. Hansen -- (when she was younger, she called him, "Dr. Handsome"! LOL!!)

She got to play some football with Daddy :)

Got a ghost painted on her arm :)

We got to ride the train around the park :)

And this past weekend -- we went to the pumpkin patch at a local farm to get our Halloween pumpkins :)

Brookie got to ride a horse :)

We took some goofy photos!! :)

Practiced lassoing :)

Shot some water guns :)

Petted some farm animals :)

Saw a pot-bellied pig cooling off :)

Raced some rubber ducks :)

Sacked a potato race :)

Took a train out to the pumpkins :)

Picked out said pumpkins and got a little photo bombed :)

Breaked for a Slushie treat :)

And dug for some gold :)

On the way home -- we stopped for some lunch .... and then Brookie danced like no one was watching :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

  3. Awesome layout and I love looking at your photos! I'm almost positive I've been to that park with the train, many years ago when we celebrated my cousin's birthday during baseball Spring Training. Scottsdale area? Phoenix?
