#ShareACoke -- featuring Chic Tags :)

Hi everyone :)

I wanted to share a layout I made for the latest sketch challenge at Chic Tags :)

I used Chic Tags "Cloud 9" collection on my page :)

Funny story about my layout .... so on Saturday, I had printed 4 photos out that I wanted to use on a layout ....

I didn't get a chance to make the page on Saturday, because of errands etc :)

So on Sunday, with the photos still sitting on my desk uncut ... I start to visit my fave blogs -- and I come to Chic Tags -- and lo and behold they have posted their sketch on Sunday morning ... and the sketch called for FOUR PHOTOS ... which is EXACTLY how many photos I had printed on Saturday!!! SCORE :)

So off to my page :)

I am sure most of you have seen the BEST.MARKETING.CAMPAIGN.EVER.  -- for reals ... COKE has nailed it with this marketing campaign -- having NAMES on their bottles!!!! Who doesn't want to see their on a Coke bottle?!?!? :)

We never buy Coke bottles --- but when we were out grocery shopping and we saw Brookie's name on a Diet Coke ... how could we resist!??!?! :)

Here is my page :)

Now ... since I mentioned above that we don't buy Coke by the bottle -- you are probably wondering where I got all these Coke labels???

If you remember, Brookie's school participates with Waste Management for a nationwide recycling contest (Brookie won Top Recycler last year!) ... so on a DAILY basis, my co-workers bring their empty water bottles, soda bottles and soda cans to my desk for me to add to the recycling contest (seriously I come home with SEVERAL bags filled DAILY of bottles and cans!!!)

-- so when my friends bring their Coke bottles to my desk, I have been checking them out, and I grabbed these labels for future ideas -- which as you see, I added to my page :)

The journaling which is tucked behind the photos :)

And here is their sketch --

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

  2. Super stinkin' fun, Julie! I'm a HUGE fan of Diet Coke... Actually, I'm ashamed to say that it's one of my weaknesses, but I doubt I'll ever find my name or one of my family members names on one of those bottles. BJ was excited when Adina gave him one that said "Dad", though ;). Such a fun memory to scrap!

  20. I hadn't seen that Coke is doing that! You're right - it's genius! I don't buy soda, but I would absolutely buy a bottle if I saw one of our names on it. On the other hand, I'd probably go out of my way NOT to buy one with some random name!

Your layout is so cute. And so funny that you saved all the labels from the recycling. You really do save everything! It works perfectly here!

  44. Bryn is currently obsessed with those Coke bottles. She's also determined to find one that says her name. I'm like, "Sweetie... there's probably no Coke bottle that says either of our names. Sorry about that!" LOL Adorable page & photos of Brookie! :-)
