Hello, Sweet Thing -- featuring Melissa Frances - Jenny & Aaron :)

Hi everyone :)

Well ... I did it again :)

I made some pages today for some challenges ... and I see that one of them is closed -- really need to work on that timing issue ... lol :)

For today's layouts that I am sharing I used Melissa Frances // Jenny & Aaron's "The Sweet Life" collection :) I just loveeeeee this collection!! It is soooooooo fun!!! :)

This first one was/is for the Let's Get Sketchy latest challenge :)

The challenge was to reach wayyyyyyyy back into your scrappy past and scrap lift an old layout :)

Oh BOY!! Wait till you see my old page -- oy!! Anyone remember the DECORATIVE SCISSORS?!?!? LOL! Just saying :)

Here is my NOW layout :)

And my OY! ORIGINAL LAYOUT :)  Circa 1997 --- 17 years ago -- when I first started scrapbooking!! :)

And more close ups on my NOW layout :)

The next layout is for two challenges :)

Frosted Designs wanted us to use something clear (I used Tim Holtz clear film strips) and Paper Issues' challenge is a "Pocket Full of Sunshine" -- and I used a bag from "The Sweet Life" collection as a 'pocket' for my journaling :)

And the last one I wanted to share is for the latest sketch challenge at Colorful Creations :)

Here is their sketch :)

And here is my take on it :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

  17. Gorgeous layouts - love seeing the change. Brookie has fabulous taste in shoes too - love the bright and funky! And how precious to scrap and journal about the change from baby to growing girl bedroom. I think it's only when you have children that you realise how fast time goes!

  19. Some awesome layouts...chuckling about your first one...oy...that cracked me up. I did the same kind of bubble handwriting too. I had never scrapbooked before and ended up volunteering to be my boy's preschool scrapbook coordinator...LOL. But you know what? The boy, who will be 17 in July, still has that scrapbook.

  43. Such a super cute take on your original layout. I remember using those decorative scissors when Susy and I first started scrapbooking 10 years ago. We still have tons of them although I don't think they have been used in many years. I love your punched stars. The next layout is also very cute. Loving the photo strips borders. For the finial layout I really like your use of blue throughout.
