Am I really early? Or am I really late? -- featuring Scraptastic Club :)

Hi everyone :)

So I wanted to share a little mini book I made :)

We had a White Elephant gift game/exchange at work in December ... after I "lost" my gift pick during the game ... I was sooooooooo upset because I had "lost" the gift bag too!!  ... You see, I had HUGE plans for this bag ...

And I whined, and I cried, and I whined, and I cried ... that noooooooooooo!! I wanted that gift bag!!! I had PLANS for that BAG!!!! PLEASE give me the bag back!!!

So the person that got my gift that I "lost" ... gave me the bag back!! Not the gift ... lol ... but the BAG!!! But that's ok ... I just wanted the bag!!! :)

Because you see, I had this plan in my head :)

I buy Christmas gifts all year long ... I start right after Christmas buying gifts for this year ...

But there is a HUGE problem with doing that ...

By the time Christmas comes around ... I have forgotten half the gifts I have bought! LOL :)

So I wanted to make a mini book to keep a list of what I have bought so that I know by Christmas who still needs gifts and who doesn't :)

So here is what I made to keep track :)

The cover ... using the GIFT BAG I wanted :)

For the pages I used the December kit from Scraptastic Club :)

On the inside page, I took the extra pages and put them in an envelope for future uses :)

.

I took each person that we buy presents for and gave them a page -- then I listed 1 through 5 twice -- that way I can use this for two years in a row (and the extra pages I put in the envelope above will hold pages for years later!)

I also didn't adhere the pages down -- I punched a hole in the side of each "name" page and stitched twine to hold my page in place ... that way after the two years are up ... I can easily replace the pages :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

  20. What a GREAT idea, Julie! I do the same thing. Fortunately, I stash all of our gifts in the same location, so it's easy to remember what's what, but I just LOVE this idea to bits and pieces, and it's ever so cute to boot! Way to upcycle that ADORABLE, little bag!
