So very thankful :)

Hi everyone :) 

Recently both Connie and 7gypsies posted some altered pumpkins and it inspired me to make one of my own :) 


I started out with these (plastic pumpkin, vintage sewing pattern and Mod Podge)  :)





And here is what I made  :) 

I covered the pumpkin in Mod Podge and then put the vintage sewing pattern all over it :)

Once that was dry ... I used Tim Holtz's distress inks to add some color to the sewing pattern :)

I found some fake leaves at a local craft store and glued those on ... and then I free hand cut some burlap into some leaves also :) 

Then I misted some flowers to match my color scheme :)

 Oh and I painted the stem :)















This is going as a centerpiece for our Thanksgiving dinner table :)

  3. Oh, man!! How stunning, Julie! I knew I was going to love this from the very first photo! I mean, pumpkins and dress patterns? How fabulous is that? LOVE the color you added with the inks, and LOVE all the texture from the leaves and burlap! Wow!
