Family :)

Hi everyone :)

Our latest challenge is live at Color Me Scrappy and along with our color palette ... this time the twist is to add some texture :)

Here is my take on it :)

Still using up my stash this year :)  On this layout I used some OLD Prima papers, Prima embellies, Graphic 45, and some GCD Studios :)

Those that KNOW me, know I am not the BEST person to tell to add texture to a layout *wink* ... I am anti-paint, anti-gesso ... so not always easy for me to do 'texture' ... lol!! So that's where I add stitching and more stitching ... because stitching can add a TON of texture without the mess!! LOL!! That would be why I am anti-paint and anti-gesso ... cause I am so NOT MESSY!! LOL!! :)

Here is our color palette for this challenge :)

And don't forget to add texture :)

And I wanted to share some of our weekend -- another busy one! LOL!! :)

Friday evening we went to The Healing Fields for the victims of 9/11 -- here are some photos from our visit :)

And while we were there ... I took my monthly photo of me and my babies in honor of Aleida :)

And then on Saturday night I had the honor of meeting these ladies for dinner!!! It was so WONDERFUL to meet Sherrie, Carri and Tammy :)  We had so much fun!!!! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

  7. I tend to stay away from the messy items too and its also the reason I'm more of a stamp collector that user.

  27. Hey Beautiful, your scrap looks amazing. I love how you did the texture. I am also not a big fan of paint and gesso and all that stuff. I am a bit behind with my scrapbooking so I have to work a bit harder I guess, but your scrapbooking is always so wonderful. Brookie is so lucky that you documentate every bit of her life so well!!
The 9/11 photo's are heavy to see, but good to remember and to stand still by all the people. I will never forget were I was when I heard the news and how much impact this have.
    Have a fun week Julie!

Thanks for sharing all those photos, too. I've really appreciated seeing how many people's info you've shared on these posts.
