Working the alphabet - one manufacturer at a time :)

Hi everyone! :)

A lot of you know that I have been working on scrapping with my older scrappy stash this year -- except for just a few NEW collections that I have purchased - I have been using my stash like crazy this year!! :)

And some of you also may know how I store my papers and flat embellishments -- if you don't know, I store them alphabetically -- like this.....

Some manufacturers I have so many papers/flat embellies, they have their own drawer - others I don't have as many, so I store several papers of the same manufacturer in the same drawer -- (Example Echo Park and Elle's Studio are in the "E" drawer)

So this weekend I decided to start in the beginning of the alphabet of my drawers and just play with what was in them :)

I started with the "A" drawer and I have Aunthentique and American Crafts -- I made four layouts on Sunday with just these two collections :)

Using Authentique :)

 Using Authentique :)

Using American Crafts :)

Using American Crafts :)

I don't know if you can tell or not ... but I used 4 photos on this layout -- the two top ones of the yellowed flowers are lined with American Crafts Cardstock and then I placed them on top of 2 other flower photos that I used as backgrounds :)

Soooooo now I only have ONE 1/2 sheet of Authentique paper left along with two Thanksgiving themed sticker sheets -- and I only have half a handful of American Crafts papers left :)

YAY!!!!!! I am getting there :)  And next weekend I will work on either the rest of my American Craft papers or start on the "B" drawers :) Not sure yet :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

  26. What a fun way to move through your stash, I have no idea what paper is from who. I don't have many kits so mine is mostly DCWV and Recollection brands that can be purchased at Micheal's. But I have stacks that have gone unused for years! Great lay-outs! Carri~Abusybee

And WOOOOOOOOOOOOW-- all of these pages from the A drawer! And in ONE day-- Ummmm... you are awesome! I love all of these pages-- you really inspire me! I really should break out some papers and make a page..... next week:) I don't know why I'm so afraid to do it now... maybe because the pages are so large! Or maybe because I don't know how to layer/design like you... but I will make a page someday:) LOL!

    TFS!!! <3

  34. Now that's a FUN way of using the stash...& you can 'see' the manufacturers in the pages, I Reckon, too - they do have distinct styles...& JUlie, I'm sooo jealous of your zigzag stitching. My machine got 'gummed' up , so only does straight now....v sad:(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
