Girl... what a mess you have going on there! :)

Hi everyone :)

I was off work for a week earlier this month  ... and I decided to do some Spring Cleaning (well... Summer cleaning here in Arizona! LOL!) and I started with my scrap space :)

It's not that I am messy (cuz I'm not! lol!) ... my space has just been feeling cluttered and unorganized to me lately :)

Here is what I started out with -- (also known as my BEFORE pics) :)

So you can see that my space isn't that messy ... just a little cluttered and I needed to fix that :)

You can see I am working on a project :)

And here is the AFTER :)  Not a HUGE difference ... but I can notice it ... so I guess that's all that matters :)

As you can see in this photo, I share my scrappy space with Brookie's play area :)  Which is nice, because we also have a TV in here and we can both 'play' and watch TV together :)

This is all on the top of one of my shelves :)  I love antiques ... so I have incorporated some of my antique goodies on this shelf :)

This basket holds my vintage clothing patterns that I use to add 'texture' to my canvasses :)

Another thing I wanted to add to my scrappy space was my beloved vintage cameras :)  My family comes from Kodak ... from one of the original Vice Presidents of the company, to my Aunts, Uncles and Cousins working there ... and my Mom and Dad met and fell in love there :)  So I collect vintage Kodak cameras in honor of my family :)

This shelf holds several different things :)  The top shelf is my printer (and yes that's a towel on top of it...lol!! I leave it there because, I live in the desert and it's VERY dusty here!!!) ... the black bins hold vintage goodies to use on my projects and adhesives and Design Team papers, the white bins hold things I have gathered over time to alter and my mini albums that I have made.... and the wicker bins more mini albums I have made and ribbons :)

My clean table :)

I store my papers by manufacturer's :)  As you can see I have a lot of Bella Blvd, Bo Bunny and Crate ... so they all get their own drawers :)

Brookie also has her own drawer with her papers in it :)

My various art pieces that I have made... and one's that have been made for me... were scattered all over my scrap space ... and I wasn't really feeling it ... so I condensed them all onto a shelf that sits right across the way from my scrap table :)

And here is a little side-by-side of the before (on the left) and after (on the right)   :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

  4. How fun to finally see your scrap space! I'm intrigued by your paper sorting system. Do you have collections grouped within the proper drawers, or do all Bella Blvd collections run loose within that particular drawer?

  5. You would have a fit if you stepped in my room right now - it needs a bulldozer, nevermind organization. It needs a bulldozer to just level it and start again, lol!!!

    Lovely space, chickie!!!

  31. That was such a cool post Julie - I absolutely LOVE snooping in othera crafty spaces. I love how you have designed your space with your desk not up against a wall but rather looking out on what is happening and next to Brookie. My space is quite similar to yours and also hard to make 'look" tidy because of the open type storage and also because both of us have a LOT of stuff!! Thanks for taking the time to share this - you have a lovely, practical, functional space.

  50. I love seeing your space! I'm always inspired by other scrapper's setups. I love that you and Brookie share a space. To me shared spaces are the best. While we don't have children, I do share my space with Nate and we have beds for all three pets, who often join us in the studio :)
