The "Tini" Original :)

Hi everyone! :)

I wanted to share a layout that I made for the latest Chic Tags challenge :)

This time they wanted us to be inspired by this quilt :)

And here is my take on it :)

I used my sewing machine to make the triangle banner around the edges :)

I used Echo Park's For the Record 2 collection and Chic Tags :)

Brookie's nickname is "Tini"  -- believe it or not it comes from a TV show that Brian and I watched when we were up for her midnight, 1AM, 2AM, 3AM feedings when she was an infant -- the show was "Hogan knows Best" -- and it was a reality show about Hulk Hogan (don't judge! LOL!!) and his family ... well his daughter's name was Brooke ... and he always called her "Brooke-Tini" --- so we started calling Brookie that and it stuck :)

So when we went to Yogurtini the other night for a school fundraiser -- Brookie was excited to see her nickname on the menu :)

And when I was done with this layout I made this card with the leftovers of my layout -- plus the Happy Birthday tag is from Chic Tags :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

As always a great layout. I love how you always use so many embellishments on your layouts. I could use a lesson in this process.

What a cute layout Julie! The fussy cutting and ice cream cut outs are great. I also love the idea of using your sewing machine to sew a banner. I hadn't ever seen this done before.

Holy Crow, Julie......you are on fire, Girl! First of all, I LOVE that story! And how exciting for Brookie to find her special nickname like that! LOVE your layout design to pieces. That stitching is fabulous, and I really love the combo of colors and papers and the tall "tower" of embellishments you created. Really pulls the eye across your page. And your "leftover" scrappy card is adorable, too. Love the layering and love the kraft base!
