Kickin' it old school :)

Hi everyone :)

If you missed my CHA posts and want to see inside on the action -- check HERE or HERE! :)

Yesterday I had a laid back day -- so I decided to play along with a few challenges and also just make a layout for fun! :)

The first one I did was for Elle's Studio's latest sketch challenge! :)

And when I say in my bloggy post title --- "Kickin' it old school" -- I mean that on all three of my layouts today, I used some OLD OLD OLD Basic Grey goodies :) And even some old Elle's Studio goodies too on this first layout :)

I have HUGE scrappy goals this year :)  First -- I want to actually scrap the four million pics I have printed (You all will hear more about this goal in an upcoming post on the 23rd) -- I also want to use up a lot of my stash -- (now TRUST me on this one -- using up my old stash doesn't mean I won't be buying some of the new goodies just released at CHA -- cause I soooooooo will be buying those too... lol...I just want to use up some of my older stuff too!!)  :)

For example on these three layouts today -- I used up two old Basic Grey 12x12 sticker sets -- completely cleaned them off and put them on various places on my pages ... GO ME! :)

On this first layout for Elle's Studio sketch ... I used some adorable tags that Elle was giving out to people that stopped by her booth at CHA (she is a total sweetie by the way... just loved talking to her!!) .... and I also used up some older Elle's Studio tags I have had FOREVER!! :)

I also used the crepe paper that Elle had used on the little goodie bags that she gave out! :)

Here is Elle's Studio sketch for this week :)

My next layout is for the latest Color Me Scrappy challenge!! Here are their colors for this challenge ....  and the twist was too add pearls to your page :)

Here is my take on it :)

Again -- I used some Elle's Studio tags ... and some OLDER Basic Grey --- I also made my heart from pearls that Yvonne sent me :)   The little birdie on top is also from Yvonne :)

I had two of these photos printed -- so I cut one out silhouette style and added some pop-dots to it to give it some dimension :)

And my last one is a just because layout :) Again using some older Basic Grey -- and I added some NEW Chic Tags that the owners at Chic Tags gave Krista and I while we were at CHA!! :)  The owners of Chic Tags were just soooooo nice!!! They let us pick out some tags that they had at the booth! Love their tags!! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

You asked what amber alert was in the U.K., it is used by the Met. Office to give us weather warnings. If we look on the U.K. map it will give colour coded warnings from green (no problems) to red ( take action).
I have heard of Amber Alert in the U.S.A. I wish they would do something like it here.
Have a great weekend. Deb x

  45. Gorgeous layouts, I love all the stitching!! I need to use up a lot of my old stash, I'm going to try to not buy any new supplies [except necessities like adhesive or printer ink] for 6 months & see what I can do. [Of course, I just stocked up on TONS of stuff in December!]. The problem for me is I really don't have the storage for a ton of supplies [grrr New York apartments!] so things get packed away & I forget about them!!
