Hi everyone :)
A few blog posts ago -- I shared that I one of my scrappy goals this year was to de-stash A LOT of my scrappy goodies this year :)
So a few weeks ago I dug into my goal with a bang -- and this week I wanted to share some of the layouts, cards and even a recipe book I made :)
So -- I have this white canvas bin that two years ago, I sorted a lot of scrap goodies into large ziploc baggies (Vintage goodies, Alphas, assorted papers, scraps of other papers I had used parts of, various embellishments, etc....) and the thing is -- I took all this time to sort everything into these large ziploc baggies, and....
I haven't touched the bin since then!!!!!
Seriously!!! I haven't even done ANYTHING with this bin except move it from old house to our new house!!! Never even bothered to pull it out once to actually WORK WITH IT!!!
Crazy, right?!?!?!?!
Here is the infamous bin --
See??!!???!! All nice and organized in nice large ziploc baggies... and then I don't even bother to USE any of it!!! YIKES!! Shame on me!!
So I decided to change that once and for all!! I decided I would just start pulling out whatever I felt like and use it! :)
Here are some of the layouts I made --
And YIKES!! Who remember these resin words from We-R-Memory-Keepers from a MILLION years ago?!?!?!? I just HAD to have them ... and then I never use them??? Silly me!!! Well... no more I say -- totally using it up -- old or new!! :)
And I must ADMIT ... I had a TOTAL LOVE AFFAIR with these Jenni Bowlin alphas I used as my background ... soooooo much of a love affair that I have like EIGHT SHEETS of them!!!!! What!?!?!?!?!?!? Serious sickness I tell you!! So as mentioned above ... I decided to make some of them into my background (and I used the numbers from one of the sticker sheets on the above layout!) ... so between these two layouts ... I used up one entire sheet of my beloved Jenni Bowlin stickers!!! GO ME!!! Only 7 more sheets to use up!! LOL :)
The rub ons on here are really old ones from Basic Grey and 7gypsies!!! :)
This next one -- using some really old goodies!! :) Like I couldn't even tell you who the alphas are from... that's how old they are! LOL :)
Ok... that is day one of my week of de-stashing!! I will be back tomorrow to share more!!! And at the end of the week... I will be sharing what's LEFT OVER from my white bin of neglected goodies!!!! :)

Why do we hoard this stuff? LOL
These are amazing ~ keep up the de-stashing!!
Good for you for using old stash! I just purged my stash and have a few pounds to give away! I LOVE what you did with the Jenny Bowlin alphas, especially on that second layout! Amazing!
oh my gosh I totally have a bin like that!!!! and it's moved with me twice!!!! way to go on using it!! LOVE how you worked those JB letters and #s!!!
I am so impressed that you got so many great layouts done...love the bin so neat and ready for you to use.
I am so with you and cleaning out and using products.
Awesome use of your stash Julie!! You are much better than me...I just end up giving mine away, instead of even breaking it out and using it!! HA! LOVE that fun page with the pics of Adam!!
It's the smiling toaster and friends! I LOVE them! Seriously cute layouts Julie!!! Good for you for using up your stuff! I love how you made a background with the alpha stickers - it looks awesome!
Great LO! Love how you used the alphas for your background. I can't dare say anything about the stash since I am guilty of the same thing. LOL
These make me want to destash too. LOL! Love how you used the numbers on the first page and the alphas on the second.
You and sweet Amy T are totally inspiring me with your use of old stash/de-hoarding. Of course I am totally enamored with the baby LO, Brookie posing in that fab valentine outfit, and Adam's "big mouth" pics and LO (love the title!!!)
This post and your layouts are so totally wonderful - I love how you used the JB alphas - I look forward to seeing more de-stash days!
very very nice pages, Julie, I love the alpha on the first one!
One of the things that discouraged me into traditional scrapbooking was not being able to use all my stash. I'm a slow scrapper, you know so I'd buy 10X more things that I'd be able to use. I still have stuff from that time here, LOL
wahooooooo...awesome job!!!!!! I love seeing your destashed goodies on your fun layouts...I seriously still have some of those adorable Cosmo Cricket chippies...I just can't seem to dehoard those.
You are really motivating me to de-stash Julie. I so need to do this. Love that "big mouth" page. Super fun!
You do the best layouts Julie. I so wish I were a fast scrapbooker. I go through my stuff about once a year and pull out what I know I won't use and sell it in a LSS garage sale.
Very impressed what you did with your stash! All of them are fun layouts, and I love what you did with the alpha's!!
wow great use of your stash! I just went through my stash and mailed a HUGE pile of stuff to a friend of our family who is young and has just started scrapping...she was beyond thrilled to get this box, cost me $40 to ship, that's how full it was! but I have a clean room and she has stuff, and your layouts are awesome, love the second one with all the alpha stickers!
Oooo! So many fun elements in that crafty bin! Your pages are so fun, Julie! TFS! Keep up the good work!
I love your use of the full sheet of alphas.....so fun. Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Meri
I can understand why you hadn't touched them after you organized them...once everything is neat, why would you want to mess it up again!?! IDK about you but I make a mess when I scrap! It looks like my table and scrap supplies have exploded! LOL!
But yes you, and I, need to use up those stashed items! And you started off so fabulously!
I absolutely love what you did w/ your alphas!!! I have a whole bunch of leftover, useless letters that I can't get myself to throw away (after all I spent money on them!) and now I have been inspired to use them like you did here! Yay!
Thanks so much!
Oh and I am totally jealous of Adam! I want to eat like that too! Well, I can, but...it's not good for my figure...Hahahahahaha!
I understand that thing...the I must have it, it is so beautiful and then never using it. I also want to work at using my old stash this year. So apart from getting the monthly Studio Calico kit...no more buying.
way to use your stash girlfriend!!!
i just cleaned out all unused older stuff (and some newer) and boxed it up to take to a crafty friend!! lol
Good for you, going through stuff that's just languishing in your supplies! I love what you did with some of it. The Brookie pages are AHdorable, and the cute images you used for your son's pages are precious!
wowsers! wish i had your type of mojo. it takes me forever to get anything done nowadays.
hugs,
sarah.
Wow!!! These are fantastic. Love them all and love you too...but 81 degrees? Really? This morning was. -13....as in negative...just like my mood. Can I please come and get some of your sunshine and scrappy mojo?
Awesome layouts! I need to do some MAJOR de-stashing around here. Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh my goodness! Those are BEAUTIFUL!!!! Your stash rocks!!!! I especially love the page with all the alphas on it. So perfect!
Love this!!
What a fab idea. I need to do this at some point too.
I am in total love with your jenni bowlin alpha background. Total genius!! x
WAY to be creative with your stash Julie! NICE job!
Hey Julie.... big hugs... i really miss you!!!
Happy new year my dearest friend....

How awesome are these?!?! I absolutely love them! I love the design of the first, the use of alphas on the second and the fun colourful vibrancy of the third! WTG on destashing!!!
They are definitely oldies but goodies....these are fabulous! Love the bright and cheery colours! Great use of those alphas! If you need help with the 7 sheets, you know you can send some my way..*winks*
*High fives on using your old stash brilliantly!*
These all look great and I so love all that stitching on the first two.
What a great idea. I just started back scrapbooking again and dived into my old stuff instead of buying. I need to organize like this.
I think it's awesome that you're using up your stash. These pages look amazing. You're rockin' it out!!
Great job on using up that stuff. Buying scrap stuff can be a sickness that's for sure. It's all so pretty!!
Way to use your stash! I really like how you used all of those red alphas and spelled out Love You in black. Looks great.
These are GREAT! Keep the destashin' comin' ... Totally inspiring :)

Wow! These lo's are amazing!!!!!! I should dip into my stash....thank you for the push!
Julie, I love that you're also trying to use up your stash ... I seriously LOVE these pages, too! I think #2 (I love you) is my favorite ... your creativity w/ the title and all of those letters is fantabulous!
I wish I could just cleaning up my stash like you do, I am just so bad at accumulate things and sometimes I don't even know where I put them.
WOnderful creation out of the stash!
Wow Julie, these are seriously amazing layouts!!! I'm thinking that this is really a magic bag of goodies because you have ROCKED these supplies! I especially love the I LOVE YOU layout...so clever to hide the title in among the background and I love those rub-ons . Can't wait to see what else you come up with!
Seriously a brilliant idea, I'm sure we could all put this into fruition and use up some of our stash we have not used in 'forever'. Your layouts are fantastic, and I adore the top one and your daughter is sooo cute.
Really adore that layout that is filled with alphas!! Amazing!
Sure looks like your stash is full of some pretty fun stuff! I totally love what you did with the Jenni Bowlin alphas (seven, really?).
You so rocked using those alphas and I had to laugh at 8 packages of them. Great pages!! ~ Blessings, Tracey
