A sponge :)

Hi everyone :)

I wanted to share a layout I made today for the latest City Crafters challenge which was to use Book Papers on your project :)

I created my own background using 25 pages from a little antique book I had (it was a little 'mini' book that I ordered from a vintage site a longgggggg time ago) :)  -- I adhered the pages down and then inked the edges and sewed them :)

I also used some goodies on here that I got from Melinda and some from Debbie too :)

Brookie is just a sponge when it comes to learning and reading (completely the opposite of her brother! lol!) :)  -- her teacher gave her a website that had books for her age and then each book had a test with it to see her ability to understand what she read -- she dove right in and read 9 of the books on the first day! :)

So excited for my Brookie! Her teacher is having her tested for the gifted program!! :) In Kindergarten!! Wow!! I should know soon if she made it into the program ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

Lovely Lo. My daughter loves reading too. People often comment on how nice it is seeing a kid reading a book rather than playing computer games.

Absolutely beautiful! And good for Brookie (Yay!). In my house it's the opposite...my son LOVES to read and my daughter HATES it!

As for the City Crafters challenge...I just completed a layout w/ a book page on it on Tuesday night!!! I have already linked it elsewhere though so I can't enter it...
However, I happen to be working on another layout that coincidentally has a book page on it.. you know what that means... I see a challenge entry in my near future! LOL!
