Two wall hangings for two little girls...and a winner! :)

Hi everyone!

I made 2 little wall hangings for two little girls (daughters of two different co-workers) as they both have moved recently and got new rooms!

Except for the chipboard bases (which are Nikki Sivils) -- everything on my wall hangings came from BlueMoonScrapbooking.com

And now for the winner of Mo's Die-Cut class is Tracey Sabella!!!!  Congrats Tracey!!! Email me at bmwgirl@cox.net and I will get your info to Mo!! :)

Recipes :)

Hi everyone :)

My boss recently told me that she was looking for an good old fashioned recipe box and how she was having a hard time finding one... weird, I know but with people selling recipe books like crazy nowadays and everything food related on the internet, I guess I can see why she was having a hard time! :)

Well, I was at the antique store yesterday, and I found one for $3.00 .... so I bought it for her --- and at first I was gonna give it to her as is.... but couldn't bring myself to give it to her in this state....

The "before" look :)

And this is what I turned it into :)

I used some MME papers that my friend Joni gave me, and some Creative Imaginations 'kitchen' stickers ... and for the word 'recipes' I used Nikki Sivils alpha stickers :)  and to adhere everything down, I used Helmar's Craft Glue :)

Beach and Welcome!!

Hi everyone!

Today over on the Bo Bunny blog it's time for Field Trip Friday!!! The day the DT steps out of their comfort zone and make something they normally don't!

And today also marks the end of my time with Bo Bunny as their Guest Designer for the Summer!!! I cannot THANK Kris, Juliana, Sarah, Carin, Irene, Debbie, Romy, Gabi, Jolan, Luz, Mahlin, Robbie, Sam, Tomoko, Mireille, Agnieszka, Tara .... and Megan too for all their love and support of me and my creations for Bo Bunny that I have made this summer!!! They are ONE AMAZING team, I am going to miss them immensely... and I hope someday I can work with them all again!!!!! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being so supportive of me!!!! I love you all!!!!!!!

I love the concept of Field Trip Friday! A year ago, you could have told me to make a card, and I would have laughed at you! I was NOT a card maker! Couldn't fathom working on something that small! lol! Now, I make cards and everything else in between.

When I thought about this challenge, I thought, what haven't I done? What will stretch my artistic side? And the answer came pretty easily, make something altered with a wood base! I have walked through local craft stores, always admiring the bare wood home decor items, but NEVER bought one! I never could get the nerve to do one! I can alter ANYTHING, but these items always evaded me. So I decided to buy TWO items for this challenge from my craft store and alter them with the beautiful Bo Bunny papers!

For my Beach one, I used Bo Bunny's Hello Sunshine collection!!

Next, I made a wooden oar with the Camp-A-Lot collection!!

Hope - Faith - Love - Inspire

Hi everyone!!!

Today I am up over at the Helmar DT blog again (it will be live over there at 9AM MST) and this time I have made a 11x14 canvas for our Unity/Susan Weckesser Cross Promo!! I am in LOVE with the stamps that Susan designed!!!

I was totally inspired by Toni's circle wall art!!! I had some old die cut circles that Krista made for me a long time ago and just was so inspired when I saw Toni's piece... I couldn't resist bringing the circles out for this project!! :)

Happy Halloween?? :)

Hi everyone!!

Today I am up on the Helmar DT blog and I wanted to share my creation here too! :)

I altered a cigar box I found at a local antique store --

And here is what I turned it into :)

I took a wooden knob I had, misted it red and adhered it down to make it easier to open --

I adhered everything with Helmar's Craft Glue and Quick Dry 450! :)

I used Graphic 45's "Happy Haunting" that I got from BlueMoonScrapbooking.com
