Yep... I am a Twi-Geek :) -- and an art project from Brookie :)

Hi everyone!!!

I have a message for everyone today...

I am once again going to the Twilight movie marathon today!!!

Yes.... I am one of those INSANE people that will be at the movie theater from about 5AM today until about 2AM tomorrow morning! LOL! I am Twi-GEEK! :)

I will be seeing all five movies today!!! (Yes, I have been doing this every year, and yes, I know it is forever to be at the movies... but YES!!! I have FUN doing it! lol!!) ...

so I will not be around today or tomorrow (as I have a doctor appointment then and I will be catching up on sleep from being at the movies all day and night! LOL!) ...

and then on Saturday I have a craft show where I am HOPEFULLY selling my canvasses and some cards ... soooooo I will catch up with all of you on Sunday!! :)

And before I head out -- I wanted to share a project from Brookie :)

Brookie had an art homework project :)

Take a 'paper' turkey and "disguise" him so he doesn't get eaten for Thanksgiving dinner :)

Brookie's plan: Make him look like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz!!!

Take some Graphic 45 "Magic of Oz" paper and BAM!!! We have a Turkey named Dorothy with some friends (and grass of course! LOL!) to hide her!!!! :)

Sorry for the bad photos :) I took these at night in the kitchen :)

The green curled paper at the bottom is the grass that Brookie wanted to create for "Dorothy" to walk around in :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

I have already gotten burned out on Twilight!
I loved Twilight when it first came out.
    Read all the books...
But I got burned out from the movies.
I only saw 1&2 in the theaters (bought the DVDS).
saw 3 on DVD (own it as well)
bought 4 but won't watch it until part 5 comes out on DVD so I can watch them back-to back.
I will eventually watch them all and I have collected them because I'm not a quitter...I started it so I will finish it, LOL!
Brookie's art project is so cute and imaginative! I really like it!!! That turkey looks just like Dorothy!

  30. Oh Julie have a wonderful time. Sounds like a lot of fun. I have to admit I know nothing about the Twilight books. I know I live under a rock. LOL We even have the set in large print because my 92 yr old mother in law read it. I will try in 2013. When I retied all I wanted to do is craft. Well I am in the middle of my 3 year and I still haven't gotten enough. LOL
Brookie's "disguised turkey" is the best I have ever seen and I have seen a lot over the past 22 years of teaching first grade. Have a wonderful time at the movie.

  32. Yep, sounds insane to me!

I love Brooke's turkey! I was volunteering in Trevor's classroom this morning when all the kids turned in their turkeys. They each had written a little story that went with it, so their teacher had them read their story into the microphone while showing their turkey. There was so much creativity in the room! Kids are awesome.

  49. Awww... that Turkey Disguise is so great!! What a great canvas. Funny... my first grader son had the same project and he disguised his as a Werewolf. (I need to take a picture when he brings it back home.) Really?? he was supposed to pick something that was unique to our family, so I had to email the Teacher to explain that Werewolf's do not have anything to do with our family. Coincidentally... it was turned in the same day that I too saw the Twilight movie # 5 premier!!! Oh my gosh... that little 15 or 20 minute twist completely made me spit out my pop!! I was floored!! My friend sitting next to me could not stop giggling because I don't think she knew what else to do. Sooo soo good! I never finished the books.. .but I could tell that "part" did not belong. Fun fun!!
