The Hills are Alive ... with the Sound of Music!!

Hi everyone!!!

This month I am a guest designer at Child's Play! :) So excited to be playing along with them this month! :)

This weeks challenge is to be inspired by the Sound of Music!!!

Ironically -- this is ONE of MY ALL TIME FAVE MOVIES... like EVER!!!!!! :)

And more ironic ... a couple of years ago ... they were showing the Sound of Music in the theaters for one night only for their 45th anniversary of the release!! :)

So you know I went and saw it... right?!?!?!?! :)

How could I pass up seeing one of my fave movies on the big screen?!?!??!

How could I NOT go and see Christopher Plummer on the big screen ... oh yes!!! I said Christopher Plummer!! I have (not past tense ... still DO!!!!) have the BIGGEST crush on that man!! LOVE LOVE LOVE him!!! :)

So -- yes, I went and saw the movie in the theater with my male BFF Jason!! and of course... I had to take photos to mark the occasion (what kind of scrapbooker would I be if I didn't take photos!?!?!?) :)

Anyhooooooo... enough of the rambling Julie... here is my layout! :)

I used some Crate stash on here from a few of their collections... and I tried to incorporate pieces that had bits of one of the songs from the movie ... "These are a few of my favorite things" -- like "whiskers on kittens" (cat on the right side) -- "Bright copper kettles" (well.... I have a teapot on here ... does that count??? *wink*) -- "Raindrops on roses" (well... I have a flowers shoppe tag and a flower embellie on here) -- anyhoo..... I also included a MME tag that mentions this song :)

My photo on the left is one I took on the movie screen! :) (Shhhhh... don't tell on me for taking a photo in the theater!!) and the one on the right is the one my friend Jason took of me standing in front of the theater entrance showing our movie!! :)

I hope you all can join us!! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)
