May your home always be too small to hold all your friends...aka my BIGGEST canvas EVER!

Hi everyone!

Today on Bo Bunny's blog we are showcasing projects made with their Little Miss collection! This is by FAR my fave Bo Bunny collection EVER! (I say that with EVERY collection they come out with!! I just can't help it!! I love all their collections!)

I decided to make a HUGE (HUGE!!!!!) canvas for our living room to go above our couch! It's 3 feet by 4 feet in size!! (Told ya... HUGE!!!) and I made this mostly using the 6x6 paper pad that Bo Bunny sent me -- the entire heart itself is made with less than one package of the 6x6 paper pad -- I still have some left over!!

Here is my canvas -- then I will share how I made it!!!

And here is how I made this--

First I painted the canvas --

While the paint was still wet-- I added Studio Calico Mists --

Then while everything was still wet -- I laid an old dress pattern on top of the canvas --

I pressed the dress pattern down onto the canvas --

And here is what the canvas looks like once I took off the dress pattern --

Since I knew I was going to use the Little Miss collection -- I didn't like how much blue was showing once I took the dress pattern off -- so I took a piece of tissue paper and added some bronze paint to it -- and then dabbed it over the canvas --

And here is what it looked like after I added the bronze paint --

Next, I drew a HUGE heart on a big piece of art paper --

After I drew the heart, I cut it out and then used the below cut Bo Bunny papers to create the outer base of the heart, then I took the art paper off so I would just be working with the Bo Bunny paper --

Once I had the outer part of the heart done -- I sewed it to make sure it would stay together while I filled in the middle pieces ....

Then I glued the sewn outer part to the canvas using Helmar 450 Quick Dry glue --

Then with the other pieces of paper, I filled in the heart again using Helmar's 450 Quick Dry glue --

Then around the edges of the heart, I painted to make it blend in with the canvas --

Then I took some Q-tips and white paint and dabbed circles around the heart--

And here again is the finished canvas!!!

And here it is hanging above my couch!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)
