Beauty!

Hi Everyone!!

Today over on the Bo Bunny blog we are sharing layouts made in under an hour!!! This was an easy one for me!! You may or may not know it... but I make all my layouts (not altered projects... just layouts... ) in under an hour ....

and here is my secret.....

I love making layouts in under an hour! Most of my layouts take about 30-40 minutes (this one took about 35 minutes) -- and my secret in getting this accomplished is I no longer over think my pages! I used to place the paper here, the paper there, move it here, move it there, pick up that embellishment, move it here, move it there and so on!! Well, then I started thinking about it -- why do I scrapbook? So that everyone can tell me that the paper I placed a certain way looks fabulous?? No! I scrapbook to carry on my family legacy! I scrapbook to give my kids a glimpse to their past! Yes, it's awesome to have people admire my creations -- but I am always reminding myself of WHY I scrapbook.... So then I stopped stressing about where every paper and embellishment went, and just started making my pages without over thinking! :) So, now all my layouts get done in no time! Just have fun!

And I wanted to share a special project that I found out about from Marydon!! There is a little girl named Zoe that is about to turn 11 -- and her Mom is asking for everyone to make a birthday sign and take a pic and submit it to their facebook page -- they are going to make her a slide show for her birthday with all the wishes!! HURRY though --- submissions are due TODAY!!!!!! Here is me and Brookie with our signs!! With Zoe's disabilities -- she is struggling with her self esteem -- so her Mom wants her to know how many people love her! :)

And don't forget to enter my giveaway HERE!!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

  9. Not sure I could get a layout done in under an hour (unless I already know what paper I'm using when I sit down). Beautiful layout and I love the photos.

  19. 35 minutes, REALLY? I take more than this just to decide which photos I'll be using o the page, LOL... This is one of the reasons why I wanted to start my project life, I needed something that I could do in less than opne hour, just for fun as you said. But turns out, I'm not able to even make a PL LO in this short time, LOL

Anyway, I love what you wrote and I agree with you, we tend to become way too perfectionists in our pages and this is bad! I hope someday I can be like you ;-)

Love the page and Brookie's outfit is great!!

ok it takes me at least 15 mins to decide on paper for a card, then i change my mind! lol so at least an hour per card is my norm ;)

  29. Thanks for sharing your secret Julie! I think you're so right, honestly, overthinking it was one of the reasons I've burned out on scrapbooking and poor Zippy has no layouts whatsoever (poor Toot is good until about 9 months old. LOL) Gorgeous layout and it was made for all the right reasons! :D
