The Christmas Book - a giveaway from Studio Blue Moon...and a not-so-good Brookie update! :):):):):)

Hi everyone :):):):)

I am so excited that BlueMoonScrapbooking.com is now offering classes through their site Studio Blue Moon! :):):):) One of the classes they are offering is Rahel Menig's "The Christmas Book!" :):):) And I am lucky enough to be able to give one of these classes away to one of my followers!!! WOOT WOOT! The class starts on December 1st --- and it looks AMAZING!! :):):) I will be hosting this giveaway from now until Thanksgiving day... and I will announce the winner on Friday! :):):):)

All you have to do to enter is tell me your favorite Christmas tradition! :):):):):) That's it :):):) Just leave me a comment on your fave Christmas tradition and I will draw one winner on Friday :):):):):)

If you win and have already purchased this class we will refund you for the class :)

Also.. I wanted to give a quick update on Brookie... sadly..... it's not good news :(  We had to take her to Urgent Care yesterday because she developed A LOT of blisters on her arm... we are always told to watch for blisters... but all her previous surgeries... we have never had an issue with them... the doctor at Urgent Care called Brookie's hospital and spoke with the dermatologist on staff... and they could only suggest that we keep giving her the same cream and medicine we were prescribed for her... and call her surgeon in the morning... sooooo as you are reading this, I am probably calling them and seeing what we can do to help her... I will update everyone when I can :):):):):):)

Thank you all for your continued support and prayers for her :):):):)
(here she is Sunday morning.... still very swollen) :(

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :):):)

  3. Hi I'm a new follower to your blog, although I've seen you on Staci's blog (Life in the Thumb) for quite a while. I'm a reader/reviewer/blogger and scrapbooker so when I noticed you scrapbooked I couldn't resist :))

Hope Brookie makes a speedy recovery!

My favourite Christmas tradition is the pre-christmas treat cooking. My 17 year old son and I are usually in charge of making huge batches of home-made ferrero rochers, chocolate truffles, marshmallow balls etc etc. We listen to music and cook and chat which is really nice family time :))

  6. Ohh - poor little girl. I hope she gets well very soon. All my best wishes to her.

As for a favourite Christmas tradition: I love the day we all (my husband, 2 boys, my brother and his wife + 3 kids and my mom and dad) meet a Sunday in December, eat Christmas goodies and go and pick our Christmas trees. It's so, so, so cozy. :)

  7. Hope Brookie's feeling more comfortable.
My favourite tradition - leaving a glass and mince pie for Santa. Now that I am doing it with my daughter I get to consume them after she's gone to bed, so now 'he' get's a glass of Bailey's

  10. Oh my dear, poor Brookie. I hope she gets some relief soon. Big big hugs to her and her mommy. Your post makes me want to say that my favorite holiday tradition is no sick children!

But I will go with stockings hung by the chimney with care as my favorite tradition. My family hangs a stocking for each person in the family and when we wake up on Christmas morning, they are magically filled with treats. We all believe!

  12. Oh poor sweet Brookie! I hope the Dr.'s able to be help here hout with this.
Very excited about Blue Moons Christmas book. My favorite holiday tradition is eating steak and lasagna. My parents decided not to make us suffer through the traditional meals at Christmas and would let us pick what we wanted as kids. My brother always picked steak, and my sister and I lasagna. So Christmas means eating steak and lasagna!!!

  19. Good Morning Julie Sweetie...
Oh my goodness, our poor Brookie. She really took a beating this time. Oh my gosh, I hope they can give her some relief today. She has really suffered sweetie. Please give her a hug for me, and I will have to try to stop by soon with a little something to help make her better.

You asked about my Christmas tradition. Well that one is easy for me. Each year, the kids all stop by and Tony reads the Bible to the grands, the Christmas story of course. We did it with our kids, and then over the years has grown with the grands. A special time for all.

Please keep me posted Julie on Brookie. I am so sorry to hear that she has taken such a beating this time. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  26. So sorry your poor girlie is having to suffer. I hope that she is on the mend & you were able to get some help for her blisters...shame :( Great news about the Blue Moon classes - at Christmas we each write down what we love about each person in our family then put the strips of paper in our glasses then pull them out & read them to everyone & we have to guess who wrote what - we type them out so that we can't recognise the hand-writing! Its fun!!

Love your Hanging Mobile below and beautiful scrapbooking pages. I love Christmas but it is not the same here in Oz when it is so warm, miss the snow lol! Our fav tradition is getting all the Christmas decs out we have many talking and singing ones, much to my DH's dismay lol! Lovely article about getting in the photos, so true of many of us, use being behind the camera as an excuse. Take CareX:)

  49. Hang in there Brookie!

Favorite Christmas Tradition: Each year I purchase and/or make (usually purchase) an ornament for each member of the family. My oldest daughter now has a family of her own. The first Christmas after she was married, I gave her all of her ornaments. Now I am buying ornaments for my second family (my 2 year old), and my granddaughter (who is 7 months younger than my youngest daughter)!
