"The Boy Who Lived"...Shadowboxes using Harry Potter collection from Creative Imaginations! :):):)

Hi everyone :):):)

The following project is for my friend Liz... who is a HUGE Harry Potter fan... so I have to give a disclosure first... just in case she tries to sneak a peek before I give these to her.... :)

Ok... that is her warning! lol!! Now... onto my project! :) I made more shadowbox books, this time using the Harry Potter collection from Creative Imaginations!  :):):)

Liz's fave quote from J.K. Rowling :)

Liz is really Elizabeth with a middle initial of "J"...and so I made her "E.J.P." ... "P" is for POTTER of course :)

Liz knows I am making her SOMETHING with this paper line, she just doesn't know what *wink*....so she gave me that "Luna Lovegood" playing card to add to my project :):):)

Another fave quote that Liz loves from the books/movie... this I put on the bottoms of the 'books' :)

And for those that missed how I make these boxes/books look antique, like I did for the "Wizard of OZ" boxes/books that I posted on here before.... here is how I did it :)

This is what the boxes/books look like when I buy them from Michael's :):):)

Then I paint them a base color :)

Then I add Crackle Paint :)

Then I add a top coat and then end up looking like this... :)

And here is a little something for all the Potter fans out there :):):)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :):):)

  36. I haven't been on blogvisiting for way too long (not just you, ALL my friends... ) My head is running over with work, but I'm catching up slowly... I saw you posted about the stamp I made you. You are VERY welcome dear!!! You deserve the best! And look what you made for your friend, WOWZAH! I haven't seen the latest Potter movie yet, but we hired #6 last week. I'm not a 'movie theater' fan, but I might make an exception instead of waiting for the DVD... I don't know if I can wait that long!
