Celebrate Life :):):):):):):)

Hi everyone :)

Today the latest Sketchy Thursdays is live and here is my take on this AWESOME 2 page sketch! :):):):):)

I used some YUMMY My Mind's Eye, SRM Stickers and Prima flowers and Webster's Pages that I got from BlueMoonScrapbooking.com :):):):)

And here is our sketch this week :):):):):):):) (And remember... you don't have to make a 2 page layout for our weekly challenge... you can chose just one side of the sketch and make a 1 page layout!) :):):):):):)

And today... I have another NEW layout over on Nikki Sivils blog, as a part of our week long Helmar/Nikki Sivils blog swap! :):):):) Check it out HERE HERE HERE!! Thanks for your support! :):):):):):):):)

And today is the last day of the month (where did JUNE GO??)... anyhoo... in honor of my friend Aleida... I am sharing my monthly photo with me and my babies today....

For those new to visiting me... Aleida was killed in a car crash almost three years ago....One day she posted this photo on her blog....

and with this photo...she wrote these beautiful words... "There is a reason why I'm posting these pictures.  Pictures that I'm actually in.  Not because I think I'm all that and a trip to Hollywood.  No.  It's because I'm actually tired of being worried about how I look and not taking or having very many photos of me with my children.  I have very few pictures of me and my babies when they were babies, and I have myself to blame.  Precious opportunities to capture on paper, lost because of my silliness.  Well no more I say!  One day I won't be here and there will be hardly any pictures of them and their mama.  So ladies, hand over the camera and get in those photos!  Please.  You'll be happier you did.".....

A little over a month after she posted this...she was killed... *sigh*... ever since then, I have vowed to take at LEAST one photo with me and the kids TOGETHER every month... and I have done it... I have yet to miss a month since she has passed away..... :)  I don't care what I look like in the photo... I am their Mom...and that is all they see.... just Mom....  take those photos my friends....take those photos.....

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :):):)

  2. Love those colors they used! I think that you made a page with similar colors about six months ago that I spotted somewhere and that was why I started following your blog! So very pretty. Love your post about getting in front of the camera. I have a couple of photos of myself I will be sharing soon in pages. One of me and the hubby, another person I never get photos of! Always seems like life is flying by too fast and we forget. Thanks for the reminder!

  23. I wish I had more pictures with my kids - now they're grown and gone - but I did take lots of pictures of them when they were little. I was too ashamed of how I looked back then. Thank goodness I lived to see them grow up. Your friend taught lots of women a valuable lesson and probably didn't even realize it...
