And yesterday....yesterday was not such a good day for Brookie... on the way home from pre-school...she tells us that a child at her school said her was ugly with her spots :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(  Then she turned to Daddy and asked him if she was ugly with her spots... and Daddy said, "no, baby, you are beautiful no matter what!"...ugh... it about broke my heart :(

And did you know that I had a lo on Blue Moon's blog yesterday!?!?!?!? Check it out HERE HERE HERE!! I am quite loving how this lo turned out! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Thanks for stopping by...I appreciate it! :):):):):):):):):):) We have QUITE the busy day today... I will have pics tomorrow! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

  1. I want some of those shoes - in fact I need some of those shoes - they are just too cute and I loooove shoes.

At least brookie told you what the other child said (heartbreaking) - worse when they bottle it up and get upset by themselves. We all know she is beautiful. xxx

  2. Julie, my daughter has those shoes too and loves them!

I agree with Karen (poster above me) it's really good she told you and you can talk about it now. I'm so sorry people have to be mean. Your daughter is beautiful and very blessed.

  3. It is heartbreaking that children can be so cruel. I am sure that you will love her through all of this and one day it will just be a distant memory.

  4. I agree with the other posters - at least she talks to you guys about it. So sad for poor Brookie but kids are so blunt and cruel sometimes. Love those shoes!!!!!!!

  6. Poor Brookie! She's such a beautiful little girl with such fabulous shoes!! Kids can be so mean... but then again so can adults. You're raising an amazing little girl.

  9. Already so cruel in preschool? So sad. That's the parents that have taught the non-loving behavior and thoughts. Brookie is beautiful though and we can't wait to see her (and her cool new shoes...Bryn thinks they are so cute!)

  10. awwww Brookie sweety!!!!! I hope Mommy reads this to you......YOur spots are only temporary. And whether you have them or not you are the most beautiful little girl I have ever seen! And spots don't make you ugly.....beauty comes from within....and unfortunately so does ugly. The most beautiful girl in the world can still be ugly if she has an ugly attitude....always remember that!!!

  13. Oh sweet Brookie,
It is a shame that the world is full of such creatures who are full of hate! Brookie is full of love and that comes from the wonderful world that surrounds her and the fabulous family who are her support!!
Much love to all of you...gratitude all around for having you in my life full of inspiration and kind words...we know that this child needs more of that...unfortunately she must live in an ugly world...so sad for her/him!
    Big Big Hugs xOxO Nerina

  21. Ohhh I hate that she has to deal with such negative words at such a young age. Why can't everyone in the world teach their kids to see beauty in everything.

  25. I will pray for that little boy. He needs prayers, because if not, his attitude will only be worse as he grows.

Beauty does not come from our skin, hair, size, or shape. It comes from the light within that glows wildly. Brookie- you let you light shine like no other! (Like her momma :)

    Many hugs!

  30. GRRR I just wanna kick mean kids butts. :( How mean. Poor Brookie. Seriously though don't parents talk to their kids about how saying things like that makes other kids feel? They OBVIOUSLY don't. Well her spots will disappear and she is beautiful with or with out them. :p on the meanie.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I was in such shock about how mean that little boy could have been I didn't know how to respond.

please let Brookie know she is beautiful inside and out.. And only ugly people say mean things.
