*all the simple things in life are not small* :):):):):):):):):):):):)

Hi all....

Just wanted to share my latest lo for this weeks song at Scrapping the Music! :):):):):):):):):):):) This week its "What's So Bad About Feeling Good," by Ben Lee!!!! Such a FUN song!!!!! I chose the lyrics...."all the simple things in life are not small" with a little story behind it..... this is Brookie (again....DUH!!! LOL!!!!) and we had gone to a fireman's museum for her Birthday in October...well...U see....like MOST kids.....they LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE those BIG fun animated figures from AFAR....but OMYGOSH get her close to ONE and she FREAKS....lol lol lol...even Spongebob and Dora she FREAKS...soooooooooo while we are there at the museum...there is Mr. Smokey the Bear standing in the corner....well she SURPRISED Brian and I when she walked RIGHT up to him and shook his hand!!! LOL!!!! Totally SHOCKED us!!! She had NEVER ever done anything like that before...and that's why I chose those lyrics!!! I hope U all can join us this week! :):):):):):):):) I used a NoelMignon.com kit on this lo....and that bird is made with the new WOOD paper by Creative Imaginations.......REAL WOOD....REAL YUMMY!!!!! Then I embossed him and inked him up!!! LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the way he turned out! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

**edit** i was just asked if the Creative Imaginations wood paper is easy to work with...it soooooooooooo is!!! :):):):):) I used my  Spellbinders to make the bird (and used it for the embossing)....and then seriously...it inked PERFECTLY!!!! I can not say enough good things about this wood paper...really...its real wood...and it is AMAZING! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

  2. Your layout - and photo - are so cool! When I was growing up, my grandfather was a fire chief and I had a precious Smokey the Bear = he was one of my favorite stuffed animals! I also had several books about Smokey the Bear so it is so wonderful to see Brooke going up to him and shaking his hand. thanks for bringing back this wonderful memory. Hope you and yours have a great week!

  8. super cute! love that bird and the flowers - and your patterned paper! I have only one picture of my oldest with Santa - she was scared to death of "characters". Your LO brought back some memories I'll have to scrap myself someday.

  9. Adorable LO & a great story behind the photo! I so remember those days of Bryn being crazy scared of any costumed-characters. Then one day we saw Geoffrey the Giraffe outside a Kids R Us & Bryn started to walk right over to him, while saying to me, "I'm not scared, Mommy, it's just a costume." LOL!

  30. Sweet boy ALWAYS hated characters and still does.

It always makes me think about what Robin Williams said about the Easter bunny from a child's point of view. You can you tube it. Be forewarned he has a bit of a potty mouth.
