*A peacock and her flock* and other titles Julie has cooked up....lol! :):):):):):):):)

Hi all......

Well....another busy week here in our household....and have some LO's and happy mail to share with U! :):):):):):):):):):):):):)

First....I made this for the latest challenge at CAFE MOJO!!! This time we wanna see some HAND STITCHING!!!! :):):):):):):):) yeah....yeah...sooooooooo I cheated a *little*....lol.....I did machine and hand stitching!!!! :):):):):):):):):):):):):)  My title for this is: "A Peacock and her Flock"......This is my Mom's side of the family.....in fact its her Mom (my grandma...in the middle), my Mom and my Mom's siblings (my Aunts and Uncles)....and the REASON for my title....my Grandma's maiden name is Peacock!!! :):):):):):):):):):):):) I used mostly a NoelMignon.com kit on this LO.....and I added a feather (Peacock theme U know....lol!) and the vintage peacock tag from my wonderful friend Amy!!!! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Next is the LO I made for Scrapping the Music this week!!!! :):):):):) The song this time is: "Friends Forever".....this is me and my BFF this past July hanging out at the river!!! :):):):):):):):) I used a Kenner Road kit on this LO!! :):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Next....I have created another LO for NoelMignon.com's challenge of using her kits.......My title is: "A Fountain & A Witch" .... and my journaling (on the hidden ghost paper....) reads: "When Adam & I had an apartment - there was a water fontain around the corner from us.  Every time I walked by it - it would turn off - no one else - just for me.  So, I had Adam convinced I was a witch with magical powers! :) Hey - it worked when I wanted him to be good...just had to tell him the "witch mom" would cast a spell on him! It worked everytime!" :):):):):):):):):):):) Ohhhhhhh and my at least 5 NO PATTERN paper items are: the ghost journal tag, the "beware" rub on, the thickers, the chipboard hat & lightning bolt, the thicker heart I made, the Halloween stamp,. the glittered hat, the gate, the brads, the b&w bracket under the alphas...and the "haunted" tag! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

And the last LO I want to share....is for the latest These are a Few Of my Favorite Things!!!! This time our challenge is to tell us YOUR FAVORITE TIME OF THE DAY!!!! :):):):):):):):):):) My title: "When we are together that's my FAVE time of the day!" :):):):):):):):):):):)  Ok, as some of U know…I live in ONE of the HOTTEST places on EARTH….EVER…..and well, I make it NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO secret, that I can’t STAND it in Arizona!!! LOL!!!! :):):):):):):):):):):):)  Sooooooooooooooo for ME to come up with a FAVORITE time of the DAY…when IT IS OVER 100 DEGREES here 8 MONTHS out of the year (In FACT…today is GOING to be 108 degrees…..don‘t U all wish U were here…LOL!)…and U are surrounded by DIRT DIRT DIRT and more DIRT…and some Cactus too….LOL…..is HARD for me to do……………..soooooooooooooooo instead I made my LO about my family….and when we are TOGETHER….that is MY FAVE TIME of the DAY…..with me and hubby both working full-time….its sometimes hard for us to find quality time together…..soooooooooo when we have it…I LOVE IT!  :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)  I used another Kenner Road kit on this one! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

And I also wanted to share some HAPPY MAIL we got this week!!!!!! First....from Jacque's AMAZINGLY TALENTED daughter....Katelyn......she sent me a drawing of hers!!!! Seriously...this girl is sooooooooooooooooo TALENTED!!! WOW WOW WOW!!! Thanks Katelyn!!!!!!! It is GORGEOUS!!! And BROOKIE loved that it was of her!!!!! :):):):):):):):):) U are SERIOUSLY the BESTEST!!!! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

And here is the photo that Katelyn got her inspo from.....WOW.....SHE has GOT the GIFT for this!!! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

And I was ALSO the LUCKY gal to get a painting done by Chris....who is on my FAVE THINGS DT....WOW WOW WOW!!!!!! Talk about some talent....I seriously felt like I walked into an art gallery and bought this!!!! Thanks Chris! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

And speaking of Brookie... :):):):) She is TURING THREE on SUNDAY!!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! And and and and and and and.....she was supposed to have her NEXT surgery on the 8th....HOWEVER COMMA......Aetna has decided to "drop" Phoenix Children's Hospital as one of the places they cover..... :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( We and many many many many other families are veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy upset by their decision.  I have found out that Aetna covers almost 900,000 people in Phoenix alone....and their decision was because of MONEY....(I know...I'm not shocked either....).....but what is the hardest part....is Aetna is claiming that they are DROPPING the CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL....because the hospital's COSTS are toooooooooooooooooooooooo high......(Ok, I know some of you may work for insurance companies....sooooooooooooo PLEASE DO NOT take this as an attack on U....I am just upset at Aetna's (grrrrrr) decision) ...but the thing about ANY CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS....especially the one in Phoenix.....is just that....IT IS FOR CHILDREN...and as we all know....if there is something so seriously wrong with a child that they need to go to a hospital just for THEM.....then there is a reason.....specialists and speciality surgeons work for places just like this.....nothing against any doctors or nurses out there (as that is another profession I completely respect)....but when a child needs to go to a children's hospital...it is because what is wrong is out of a doctors expertise....they treat children with cancer, head injuries....etc etc etc.....sooooooooooo I totally understand WHY a children's hospital would cost more than (for a lack of a better word) "normal" hospitals....sooooooooo that is the reason I'm upset......more and more companies.... (including a certain one where I know someone is employed....that's all I sayin'...lol!) .... are looking at $$$$$$$$$$ and not the people.....not just insurance companies either.....I know we are all tightening our belts with $$$$$$$ but to me.....it shouldn't always be about the $$$$$$....people are behind that $$$$$$ too.....Plus....an added note (lol!)....Brookie's surgeon ONLY works out of that hospital....he is a Pediatric Dermatologist Surgeon....one of the ONLY ones in the entire United States......sooooooooooo Brian and I are at a stand still on how to continue her surgeries without having Aetna covering the cost at the hospital...... soooooooooooooo sorry...I'm rambling again....this is just on my mind right now....and it is something that I need to share....

LOVE TO ALL! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

  36. I'm so sorry to hear they will be shutting down a children's hospital. You'd think they'd find a way to save money elsewhere, wouldn't you. I hope you'll find a solution soon.

Your LO's, as usual, are all beautiful. I love the Peacock LO, the title is so clever, and I love all the details you added, especially those smalle circular photos you added, such a creative idea! The story of the fountain had me laughing, I can just imagine Adam's face, thinking you have "the power" LOL.
